Russell S Gould

Mr. Gould has had a varied career in both the public and private sectors.  Currently, Mr. Gould is a Partner with California Strategies, LLC, Financial Services Practice, which navigates clients through state fiscal issues and forges budget, investment management, public finance, banking, insurance, and healthcare solutions.  In addition, Mr. Gould currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Regents of the University of California.  He previously held the dual positions of Senior Vice President for Wachovia Bank and Senior Managing Director at Wachovia Portfolio Services. Mr. Gould has also served as Executive Vice President for the J. Paul Getty Trust, Director of Finance for the State of California, and as the state’s Cabinet Secretary of the Health and Welfare Agency.  Other previous state positions include: the Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors and the Constitution Revision Commission.  Mr. Gould is past Chair of the Board of Directors of the California Chamber of Commerce, and previously served on the Board of Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from The University of California at Berkeley.

 
Mr. Gould was elected to the Board in February 2009.
